We are pleased to announce that Micro 2000 has completed the sale and purchase agreement to acquire GreatSolutions (“GS”, a former Catalist-listed wholly-owned subsidiary) as of 30 September 2022.
Originally a technology-focused company, today Micro 2000 also has interests in logistics and warehousing, property investment, and several food and beverage industry-related businesses under its banner. From working with local schools and corporations to provide IT services, providing authorized service for established brands like Singtel and Philips, to a range of restaurants, coffeeshops, and even a central kitchen, Micro 2000 covers a wide variety of products and services.
This also includes centralized dishwashing, which will continue to scale current operations under JD Central Kitchen Pte Ltd (2017). With the new inclusion of Great Solutions, a total of three centralized dishwashing facilities will now be able to work together to serve even more customers. In fact, we now boast the largest total dishwashing facilities in Singapore, spread across the North, East, and West regions of Woodlands, Loyang, and Jurong, able to wash and deliver to every part of the country. The group will take advantage of the current facility at 8 Loyang Way 4, spanning an area of 4,500sqm with a total of 12 production lines.
This move comes at a time that could not be more opportune, as we anticipate that the demand for centralised dishwashing services in retail malls and the MICE sector will continue to grow, amid calls by government agencies to increase productivity within the F&B industry.
Additionally, the inclusion of GS will strengthen our portfolios, as we are now able to provide an increased range of services to customers. Two other acquired firms to join the group are GS Cleaning Services (GCS) and GS Equipment Supply (GES). GCS provides general cleaning services and manufactures kitchen and household utensils. Meanwhile, GES sells and rents out dishwashing and other equipment and machinery.
With this new merger, there will be an upcoming change in management as we structure the organization to serve our shareholders better and create value for all our staff as well.
